Exploring the Georgia Coast

The Georgia coast is roughly 100 miles from the quaint town of St. Mary's in the south to the busy historic city of Savannah at the north end.

At Jekyll Island you'll find gorgeous beaches including the eerily beautiful Driftwood Beach, golf courses and the  former "millionaire's village" - now a resort.

St. Simons Island has a village complete with a fishing pier and lighthouse as well as golf courses, excellent restaurants and beaches.

The picturesque town of Darien is the shrimping capital of Georgia. Walk along the waterfront and admire the fleet of working shrimp boats.

Keep traveling north to reach the bustling, but historic city of Savannah.  Walk the squares and parks beginning with the beautiful fountain in Forsyth Park.

Stroll the tree lined streets of historic homes and churches.

Finish exploring the Georgia coast with a cocktail at one of Savannah's fabulous rooftop bars.
