The Historic District of Jekyll Island

Once the winter home of the rich and famous you can now tour their "cottages" and even stay in one.

At the center is the hotel, once the clubhouse for the Vanderbilts, Morgans and Pulitzers.

It's surrounded by their former "cottages" which now hold luxurious hotel rooms.

The cottages are very popular for events, like the wedding soon to take place here.

You can take a trolley tour of the district, or go on your own - walking or by bike.

Be sure you don't miss the quaint, but stunning Faith Chapel.

The beautiful live oak trees dripping with Spanish Moss will surround you. This one even surrounds the fire hydrant.
