Located just outside the picturesque fishing village of Darien, Georgia, Emma’s Driftwood Farm is on 81 stunning acres. You’ll find it perfectly suited for corporate retreats, weddings, family reunions or any other gathering or event.
The entire farm can be reserved and rented (sleeping up to 35), or any combination of the 5 dwellings on site that fits your needs. There is a party barn that will accommodate up to 115 and coming soon a shiny new mess hall with a gourmet kitchen.
Overview
The live oaks are gracefully cloaked in Spanish moss and a walk under those lead to marsh land, which leads to deep water. Here at Emma’s you’ll find an immense variety of wildlife, beautiful views and unparalleled quiet perfect for hosting your event or for a getaway for just one, a couple or your family.

Places to Stay on Property
You’ll find a variety of houses ideally situated on the farm. They’re all far enough from each other to provide privacy, but close enough to go back and forth if you have a multi-family group or corporate style gathering. Fisherman’s Quarters is the only cabin that is quite secluded, but still has easy access to everything the farm has to offer.
Hatcher House
Here you’ll find the largest home on the property as well as the oldest. The original structure dates back to 1870, but has been updated with every modern convenience you could ask for (and some you wouldn’t imagine). Hatcher House is the ideal marriage of history and luxury. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths.
The front porch facing the marsh is one of my favorite spots at Emma’s.
Rum Runner’s Cabin
This small cabin is the next oldest to Hatcher House, having been built in 1937. It has one bedroom and one bath. When we visited it had just been occupied for a while by a writer who was looking for a quiet place to make headway on a writing project.
Ranch House
A classic built in 1970 and lovingly restored this is personally my favorite dwelling on the farm. The views, the airy feel, the terrazzo tile floors and the decor just add up to a luxurious, but still comfortable place to soak in the natural setting. The Ranch House has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Dogtrot Cottage
Just built in 2022, the Dogtrot Cottage is ideal for a family with teenagers or an executive group with an individual need for privacy. The “dogtrot” is an open breezeway that divides the two sides, one having two bedrooms and the other having just one. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.
Fisherman’s Quarters
As mentioned, this cabin is a bit more secluded than the others, but still convenient to all of the amenities Emma’s offers. It was just built in 2017 and includes two bedrooms and 1 bath with natural pine walls and cypress ceilings.

Pool and Poolhouse
Centrally located for easy access from anywhere on the farm is this amazing heated pool.
A newer addition to the pool area is the screened in pool house. It’s ideal for parents to lounge while still keeping an eye on the kids as they swim.
Party Barn Pavilion
This is a wonderful spot to host your wedding reception or the finale party of your corporate event or reunion. The barn will hold up to 115 people and has pull down sides for inclement weather, heaters for cool nights and a great place to set up a band, dj or dance floor.

Restaurants in Darien Georgia
While all of the accommodations at Emma’s have full kitchens you may find yourself looking for options to eat out while you’re there. Darien is a short drive and has an abundant supply of amazing restaurants. The full list of the best are in the article, Darien Ga Restaurants.

They can make suggestions that your group will love whether it’s fishing, kayaking, quail hunting or a private ferry to the secluded beach on Sapelo Island. Decide on your adventure and they’ll make all of the arrangements. This is corporate team building at its finest.
