When the weather is nice, there is nothing like a round of hand-crafted cocktails or small plates on a Savannah rooftop bar with panoramic views!
Savannah has some of the best rooftop bars I’ve ever seen and there’s so many to choose from! It seems like every establishment has a sign outside that says “rooftop bar” or “head to the roof!” That’s why we’ve gathered up a list of the 12 best rooftop bars in Savannah, so you know just where to go.
Be sure to check out the map at the bottom of the post!

Top Deck Savannah
The river views from Top Deck above the Cotton Sail Hotel simply can’t be beat, and this is the perfect place to watch a sunset! This spot is right on River Street, so pop in any time of day.
At lunch, you’ll love their cobb salad and the roast beef sliders. Wash it all down with one of their signature bloody marys. At happy hour, check out the small bites like the truffle pretzels or the Georgia Spring rolls filled with pulled pork, collard greens, and black-eyed peas.
Bar Julian
This is one of the best rooftop bars in Savannah, loved for the views, the Mediterranean-style food and cocktails, and known as a great place to begin (or end!) a bachelorette party!
Come for brunch to enjoy the breakfast pizza, the eggs benedicts, and the make-your=own-mimosa or stop by for late night snacks like the whipped feta spread and watch the lights of the city.
The Perch
The rooftop lounge atop Local 11 Ten in the Victorian district serves delicious cocktails and wine, as well as small bites and a small selection of entrees in a cozy space under the live oak trees.
I highly recommend the tuna crudo and the spicy mussels as a starter, and you just can’t beat the Mustard Crusted Mahi Mahi!
Churchill’s Pub
This bar on West Bay Street is the Savannah party spot. You’ll find a rowdy crowd here on the weekends, but if that’s not your thing you can also stop by for happy hour in the casual space on the roof!
You’ll find awesome snacks like pimento cheese hush puppies and truffle fries as well as a Guinness Meatloaf Sandwich that is out of this world.
Rocks on the Roof
One of our authors says this spot above the Bohemian Hotel on River Street was her first ever rooftop bar! It’s changed a lot since then and now has a swanky atmosphere with shareable plates like parmesan truffle fries and crab rangoon nachos, creative cocktails, and a fire pit. You’ll also frequently find live music here on the weekends!
Peregrin
This newly renovated rooftop bar on the roof of the Perry Lane Hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Located right in the heart of Savannah near Colonial Park Cemetery, you’ll love the handcrafted cocktails, tropical plants, and variety of seating offered here. And the Savannah skyline views just can’t be beat!
Electric Moon Skytop Lounge
This funky rooftop bar in the Plant Riverside District is a hip spot with incredible cocktails. They have tons of outdoor seating with firepits for chilly nights, and the inside has a bit of a nightclub atmosphere with neon lights around the bar and sometimes in your cocktail! This is a great spot for dancing the night away in downtown Savannah!
Don’t miss the moon deck while you’re here! You’ll find this playful adult oasis by heading down the slide or the spiral staircase… they have lawn games and fantastic river views on the deck!
The Lost Square
Right across the street from the Electric Moon is The Lost Square. Take the elevator up to the top floor of the Alida Hotel and you’ll find a beautiful rooftop bar with signature cocktails. I had the Yamas!, which is a gin cocktail shaken with Greek yogurt, honey, and lemon and it was out of this world!
The views are incredible too and they have tons of creative shareable plates with a Mediterranean flair on the Lost Square menu like falafel bites, Calabrian chicken wings, and a lamb burger with spiced aioli and feta cheese.
Myrtle & Rose Rooftop Garden
Also located in the Plant Riverside District is Myrtle & Rose, an intimate a classy space with outrageous views and craft cocktails like the Hades Heat, a spicy libation with tequila, citrus, basil, and three pepper syrup.
You’ll find live music here often, and you’ll love the inventive dishes like the spicy Spanish octopus with chorizo and crispy potatoes.
The Grove
It was a rainy day when we visited The Grove Savannah near City Market, but that didn’t phase us at all since they have a great indoor space as well as the rooftop deck with skyline views.
The charcuterie board is enormous, so we took leftovers back to our hotel to enjoy for breakfast the next day. The chipotle shrimp burger was juicy and full of flavor and the crispy chicken sliders were pure perfection. Don’t forget to have them top your fries with the honey jalapeno drizzle! The combination of spicy and sweet is to die for.
Pendant Terrace & Bar
The Drayton Hotel is a 19th century hotel located in the heart of Savannah’s historic district and the rooftop bar here just can’t be beat! The space is absolutely gorgeous and the view of the golden top of the courthouse building is the cherry on top.
Here you’ll find small bites like pimento dip and charcuterie, but the delicious drinks are where they really shine. I love the Town Square, their take on a pisco sour with cinnamon honey, and the Oh Honey cocktail with gin, lemon, and hibiscus is just what a warm Savannah evening requires.
The Fitzroy
Located in the historic district, a few streets back from the city’s famed riverfront, you’ll find the Fitzroy. Their menu is full of Australian-inspired pub food like BBQ shrimp, duck wings, and fish & chips.
The vibe here is more laidback then some of the rooftop bars in Savannah, which is sometimes just what the doctor ordered!
